NATIONAL IMMIGRANT HERITAGE MONTH

Art Direction / Branding / Print
In New York City, June marks National Immigrant Heritage Month where the city celebrates the endless contributions of immigrant New Yorkers. Celebrations kick off in April leading through June. To commemorate the celebrations, seasonal New York MTA Subway cards and signage for the spring and summer months were designed. There are five designed cards, which can also become collectibles.

Each card focuses on a certain aspect of the immigrant heritage of New York City. The cards feature an archival photo of women immigrants to New York, the historical immigrant neighborhood under the Manhattan Bridge, the iconic Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island, tiles of the NYC subway that was built by immigrant construction workers, and the famous New York pizza that represents immigrants’ contribution to American food culture.
